“A Throne for a Tyrant” is a series of steel sculptures reminiscent of medieval torture devices. This project was born out of my reflection on the place where I was born and lived, and on its political and historical context.
Sculpture No. 1 has a structure that contains the energy of movement—and therefore of change—through sharp, pointed elements oriented in different directions. Just like a state structure can inherently contain the potential for transformation.
